Torikizoku, Japan\u2019s popular izakaya and yakitori chain, is opening in Singapore.<\/p>\n
The chain \u2014 recognisable by its bright yellow signboard \u2014 operates over 600 outlets across Japan, where it built a cult following with a flat-pricing model: every item on the menu, from chicken thigh and breast skewers to rice sets and highballs, goes for 390 yen (roughly SGD 3.50).<\/p>\n
<\/span><\/p>\n\n The Singapore franchise will be run by Gohan Concepts, a joint venture between FairPrice Group and F&B operator BHAG Pte. Ltd.<\/p>\n\n We first discovered\u00a0Torikizoku years ago when we travelled to Tokyo and we\u2019ve been a big fan of their yakitori and concept since then. We are so stoked that it will be opening in Singapore!<\/p>\n Local pricing and an official opening date have yet to be confirmed. We definitely hope that the prices will be similar to what they are charging in Japan.<\/p>\n
