One of our favourite kaya toast places in Singapore, Toast Hut at Old Airport Road Food Centre has closed down for good.<\/p>\n
Old Airport Road Food Centre has been temporarily closed for renovation during the last four months and he originally wanted to reopen Toast Hut after the renovation. However, Melvin decided to end Toast Hut due to manpower issues.<\/p>\n
<\/span><\/p>\n\n What sets Toast Hut\u2019s Kaya apart from the usual is that it adopts a less sweet approach as Melvin thought that a kaya spread that is less sweet would complement the taste of traditional coffee better.<\/p>\n\n Coffee is serious business at Toast Hut\u2014it is only after countless step-by-step attempts by Melvin over the years before he managed to nail the traditional taste of coffee. The superbly aromatic and fragrant kopi at Toast Hut is so good we\u2019d choose this over gourmet coffee any time.<\/p>\n\n Melvin has no plans to reopen Toast Hut anytime soon and all of us will miss his kopi and kaya toast. Moving forward, he will opening a new hawker stall selling fried beehoon and KL Hokkien Mee at Beo Crescent Food Centre so please support him once his stall is ready in October 2024.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n
